I thoroughly enjoyed both South Park games! As a long time SP fan I loved how perfectly the humor and spirit of the series translated into the games - it felt like I was playing an episode of the show.įractured But Whole is definitely my favorite of the two. So I’m curious what kind of reflections do you guys have? Do you agree or disagree? How did you feel about the second game on its own? However if you had to play one I think I would still recommend playing the second game because it’s more polished overall and then you can have all those “first time moments” in the second game. I think I would give Stick of Truth an 8 overall and fractured but whole a 7 or a 7,5. Obviously a must play for South Park fans. Overall its close and I enjoyed both games a lot. The DLC stories were also quite fun but no way worth their initial release price (I think it was 12 euros each or 20 for the season pass?). And for the price I paid (5 euros for the gold edition including all dlc) it was a steal. I mean it’s not a super heavy RPG but for people who like South Park I think it’s one of the best way to do it, especially having lots of characters and the city for you to act out your story in. For me a good South Park game can easily be 15 hours instead of 25 if all of those 15 hours are excellent. What was better done in the first game though was the fact that it was shorter which in this case ment more intense moments and not more dragged out. But I feel like the mid game part with the available main and side quests was better in the second game. The story is very similar in both but I would say the first game edges slightly on the better/funnier story. But the second game had better and more fun combat and I also like the buddy mechanics a lot more, while the summons were much more fun in the first game. Personally if I compare the two the first one had more unexpected moments and I think the fantasy theme was also a bit cooler.

Obviously being more unique is easier when doing it for the first time.
